Hey everyone!

If you’re reading this, then you’ve clicked on our blog page!! Woohoo! This will be the place that we constantly update this next year on what God‘s doing in our lives, our team, and our squad. We are extremely expectant of the Lord to move in mighty ways this year. We also realize that God is calling us to really challenge ourselves, our marriage, our parenting, our leadership, and our faith. This is a way that you can partner with us in prayer. God IS going to move over the next nine months and we are so excited to invite YOU into it.

Just in a brief first post to give an update. As Caroline and I have been praying, we feel like unity is going to be a huge thing that we want to press into this year. 1 Corinthians 1:10-17 really puts what we feel in our hearts extremely well. We feel like in today’s culture, not necessarily that people are baptized into someone else’s name, but that we’re baptized into different church denominations and theologies. We want to build a culture that values unity around the worthiness of the slain lamb, not cultural differences and nit picky likes and dislikes. We want to help God create a culture on our squad that lives out John 17:20-23 because he is so worthy of it! Once you step overseas, people around the world don’t know anything about the hundreds on American Christian denominations. And it’s so beautiful. Because all that then matters is that we are simply followers of Jesus! That’s how it should be here in the States too.

We we also feel that God is calling us to lead in a way that gives the people on our squad the freedom to make mistakes. It’s really easy to set up tons of rules that keep people in line but we want to disciple them in ways that are more realistic to what actual life with the Lord looks like. We are going to make mistakes as disciples, but God is ALWAYS true and kind to redeem us. Romans 6:5-7 is the cry of our hearts!

Those are a few things that we really feel like God is pressing on us, but we would love you to come alongside us and prayer that God would continue to reveal His will for our squad, our team, and most importantly our marriage and family.
