It is already August! Time is flying! I leave for training camp in ELEVEN days! Months of prayer, fundraising, researching, packing, and more prayer have led me here. I have so much to be thankful for and there is so much to look forward to.

For those of you who are new to my story or just need a refresh, my name is Caroline. I’m from North Augusta, South Carolina and in eleven days I leave for World Race training camp in Gainesville, Georgia. Training camp is a two week preparation for the World Race at Adventures in Missions campus in GA. Immediately following the two weeks of tent camping and bucket showering, the 35 members of my squad and I will fly out of the Atlanta airport to our first stop on the race: Guatemala!! After Guatemala, we will head to Europe (Romania, Albania, Kosovo, Jordan, Turkey) and we will end this year-long trip in Thailand.

This next year of my life will stretch me in ways I’ve never been stretched. It will force me out of my comfort zone, head first into uncomfy situations and beautiful gospel encounters. I know I will see the Lord’s sovereignty on display in a brand new light. One thing I am looking forward to is being powerless. If that sounds unconventional, especially in today’s world, it is. What I mean by this is that I am eager to be ‘a wave tossed in the ocean and a vapor in the wind.’ I am eager to surrender all I am attached to and say yes to everything the Lord has in store. I am eager to be surrounded by His beautiful creation and a squad that shares my passion to fulfill the Great Commission overseas. I am eager to witness the work He is already doing and join Him in it. Powerlessness to me is admitting that I’ll never be enough, I’ll never be worthy of His love, I could never do enough to earn it. All I have to do is give up control and put my life in the hands of my Heavenly Father, day after day.

Please keep my squad and I in your prayers as we start this crazy adventure together! Pray for our health, safety, and sanity! If you have a desire to give, there are racers on my team who are still fundraising! My best friend is also fundraising to answer the Lord’s call in her life to share the gospel on college campuses. If you have any questions or would like to give in any way, please reach out to me!

Your sister in Christ,

Caroline

  7. God has certainly placed you on P- Squad, together on the same team (The Chameleons) for a reason. You are such a rock for this team. You seek to be emptied by the Lord in order to showcase the Lord’s strength. May God continue to honor your heart of humility as you share the Gospel with many this year!

  8. I’m praying for you to be constantly aware of how much He adores you and has prepared you for this day and the days ahead! Romans 10:15
